The investment advisor plays a critical consulting role not just in strategy development but also implementation. If the investment advisor does not consult on both aspects, there is a high risk that the investment strategy developed is unrealistic, inappropriate or poorly implemented.

The candidate will be required to have specialist skills in legal/technical financial planning questions. As such, the  candidate should have a minimum of an LL.B. qualification and a CFP certification. Advanced diplomas in financial planning are preferable. Ideally, experience as a financial planner and (as a minimum) experience as a legal consultant (preferably in the agency/broker environment) would be ideal.
